SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEES BEGIN COLLEGE LIFE
From building solar houses, to diving into classes like Macroeconomics and the Politics of Urban Design, SLPS Foundation Scholarship awardees are off to a strong start on their college campuses this year. “I am most excited about the impact I will leave on campus,” says Torrey Davie who started University of Missouri-Columbia this fall. In addition, the Foundation has expanded partnerships with organizations like the Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis to maximize scholarship opportunities. A record number of 91 SLPS graduates from 11 SLPS high schools were awarded Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis no-interest loans or scholarships (45 new students, and 46 returning students) that totaled $839,000. And just last week, SLPS celebrated 3 graduates who were honored with prestigious St. Louis American, Salute to Educational Excellence Scholarships.
