SLPS Foundation Relaunches Innovation Grants

Thanks to the generosity of Ameren, BJC (in honor of Val Bell and Kelvin Westbrook), and Wells Fargo, SLPS Foundation is excited to launch School Innovation Grants!

School Innovation Grants is a program designed to recognize school leadership teams’ creativity and vision with the goal of inspiring and keeping highly-effective school leaders, as well as trying new ideas to address some of the district’s trickiest challenges.  Past grantees have pitched ideas that have led to increased literacy growth, sparked interest in exploring college options, and built student leadership opportunities.

We are excited to continue to support school-grown ideas that address the needs of our students, families, and school-based staff.  Interested schools can learn more below or by reaching out to Kaleigh Lawrence at

Application Deadline #1: January 3rd Application Deadline #2: January 25th
Scoring Rubric– Click the button below for the rubric we will use to assess proposals.  A group of external reviewers (some SLPS admin staff, and some SLPS Foundation board members) will be making the final selection of a cohort of innovation grantees.  The group will also work to ensure that there is a mix of schools in the cohort including neighborhood and choice schools, and elementary, middle and high schools.
